Pamela Gee Silverstein, M.D.
Dr. Silverstein has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Spokane, Washington, area since 1981. She did her medical school and residency training at Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Both she and her husband, Steve, love the Inland Northwest as a place to practice medicine, to raise their daughter and son, and to enjoy the mountains, snow and outdoors. Pam has also been actively involved in the Spokane community. She served on the Board of the YMCA, the Board of Planned Parenthood, President of the Spokane Montessori Schools Parent Association, and President of the Board of Family-A-Fair. She was also a past Chair of the Department of OB-GYN at Deaconess Medical Center and currently serves as the Medical Director of Deaconess' Women's Center.

Dr. Meline has been with WomanHealth since 2002. He attended the University of Utah School of Medicine and did his residency through the University of Kansas, Wichita. Dr. Meline has been involved in research throughout his premedical and medical career. He continues to enjoy exploring new and innovative procedures in medicine and provide the most current and best procedures in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is currently the Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Deaconess Medical Center and lectures on Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington Physician Assistant Program in Spokane. Lewis is an avid water skier and enjoys spending time and doing activities with his seven children.
 

Miguel Bermeo, M.D.

Dr. Bermeo graduated in 1996 from the Universidad Central del Ecuador in Quito, Ecuador. After graduating from medical school, he became the chief director of the Primary Care Center of Zuleta in Imbabura, Ecuador. "I enjoyed working with people in the underprivileged communities in Ecuador - it was one of the best experiences of my life," says Dr. Bermeo. "I'd love the opportunity to spend time in the future volunteering my services in a third world country." Dr. Bermeo later came came to the United States, where he received certification as a Spanish medical interpreter at Wishard Memorial Hospital. Dr. Bermeo began his obstetrics/gynecology residency in 2003 at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Ind., after spending time as a volunteer laboratory research assistant at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. He then joined Clarian Health Workers. A great addition to the WomanHealth practice, Dr. Bermeo is fluent in Spanish and looks forward to connecting with the Hispanic community in Spokane. "I'm glad to be in Spokane and join the great physicians at WomanHealth," says Dr. Bermeo. "Doctors Silverstein and Meline have a wonderful reptuation, and I look forward to working with them." Dr. Bermeo also enjoys bike riding and other outdoor activities.

Valerie has lived and worked in the Spokane area for 18 years. The last 9 years she has practiced at WomanHealth and Deaconess Medical Center delivering babies. She graduated from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Kentucky, in 1994, and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1995 with a Masters of Science in Nursing. Valerie is an active member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. When not at work, Valerie enjoys time with her husband and two children.in Spokane.
 

Leanne Zilar, ARNP
Leanne Zilar, ARNP
Leanne Zilar has been with WomanHealth since 1988. First as an office nurse, then nurse manager. She returned to school and received her bachelors degree in 1999 and her Masters degree and ARNP certification in 2002 from Washington State University. Leanne is married and has six children ranging in age from 19 to 3 year-old twins. When she's not being a "carpool queen" for her teenagers, she enjoys knitting, yoga, camping, and climbing on the jungle gym with her twins. Leanne and her husband are chaplains in the HIV/AIDS community and past directors of Strength for the Journey retreat for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Sara Edge joined WomanHealth as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in 2006. She received her Bachelor’s of Nursing from Saint Louis University in 2002 and her Master’s of Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner from Washington State University/ Intercollegiate College of Nursing in 2006. Her nursing background is in Labor and Delivery and Women’s Health and she loves taking care of women and their babies. She and her husband Mark have lived in Spokane for 5 years and have 2 fabulous little boys, Zack age 4 and Erik age 2. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and has a special interest in adoption and kids with special health care needs, especially cerebral palsy.
 

Adie Goldberg, ACSW, M.Ed.
Adie Goldberg, ACSW, M.Ed.
Adie Goldberg, ACSW, M.Ed is a board certified social worker who has worked in many clinical and university settings. She has been a psychiatric social worker at WomanHealth for over twenty years. WomanHealth's collaborative medical social work practice model has received national attention. Adie became a certified Gurian trainer which explores how biology and current brain research affects human behavior. She utilizes the model in both clinical and educational settings. She recently co authored two parenting books on infancy and early childhood; It's a Baby Boy: The Unique Wonder and Special Nature of your Son from Pregnancy to Two Years and It's a Baby Girl! The Unique Wonder and Special Nature of your Daughter from Pregnancy to Two Years published by Josssey Bass in 2009. She teaches in the graduate social work program at Eastern Washington University and presents at local and national meetings on education, parenting and gender. She is almost an empty nester with two adult daughters, Emily and Maggie and a third daughter Chloe, a high school senior.
